Kathmandu valley short trek is a three days hiking tour around the hills and the valley. On this trip, you will be starting your hiking from Sundarijal and hiking to Chisapani on the day first. The second day of hiking will be from Chisapani to Nagarkot, and on our third day of hiking, it will take us to Dhulikhel, whereby we will drive back to Kathmandu.

Day

On this first day of our trip, we drive toward Sundarijal for an hour before starting our hike. As we enter Shivapuri national park, the trails lead through stone paved stairs and an amazing forest all the way to Chisapani. We will be hiking for 4 to 5 hours before reaching Chisapani which is a stunning viewpoint of sunrise with striking views of Gaurishankar, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, and many others.

The hike from Chisapani to Nagarkot is 5 to 6 hours long. The walk today is going to be an amazing journey of beautiful hilly outlooks and mountain views. The foot trails will take you through dense forests, small villages, and an army camp. The hike for the day is both uphill and downhill walks through the refreshing rhododendron forest inside Shivapuri National Park.

Nagarkot is a famous sunrise viewpoint situated in the north of the city. The panoramic view of the Himalayan range is also another attraction there. Moreover, it is called the premier Hill Station of Kathmandu and is renowned internationally. We can witness the stunning sunset view behind the giant mountains as we end our day hike on reaching Nagarkot.

It is the final day of our hiking as we end our hiking on reaching Dhulikhel. It will be 5 -6 hours of peaceful hiking through the forest, crossing streams and several local villages. This day's journey will also offer the serene beauty of nature and lush vegetation. The terrain of farmlands and locals with unique ethnic cultures can be another attractive section of the day hike. Walking in peaceful nature, listening to the shrieking of birds, and gentle swishing of the dense forest will give you the pleasure of being there.

As we enter Dhulikhel, a private car will pick us up from there and transfer us to the Kathmandu hotel. Then our trip concludes with all the beautiful memories of three days of hiking around Kathmandu valley.
